I have Motif ES connected via mLan to Cubase 5.5.3.  Using Windows XP build 3 (because I bought all the Yamaha mLan stuff!  Anyway, when I play the keyboard certain notes trigger screens and buttons in Cubase.  This may be a simple problem, but I can’t figure out how to get it to stop.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks.  The keyboard does record midi notes, but like I said, certain notes are a midi note AND triggers something in Cubase.  I’ve got the 5 midi ports entering the computer and 5 midi ports return.

You wrote that you have an ES, but you posted to the XS forum.

Here’s a support article for the XS:

If you have incorrect USB MIDI Ports selected (for Remote Devices, etc.), that could be your problem. The article explains which to use. That information should apply even if you’re using an ES.
