I’m think about buying a used MacBook Pro would an i5 (2.4ghz)work with the MOXF with realtime audio over USB?

Hi DHTech,

Yes, it would be absolutely fine.

USB audio is not especially taxing anyway, but a core i5 is more than capable for everything DAW related and certainly MOXF related.

Obviously, it is an older processor and machine, but you can use the latest DAWs and latest OSX with a core i5. 

The cut off for Yosemite on MacBook Pro is Mid/Late 2007 models or newer.

Like anything, it depends what you are going to do on it and how you are going to do it, so it pays to buy the best spec and fastest computer with the most amount of ram you can afford.
