They already came out with the new generation Motif XF it’s white. The new white Motif XF will be around for another 2-3 years before the next generation successor to the Motif XF hit the streets. They feel they have enough technology in the XF to satisfy demand for a while. The Motif XF is still selling enough to be content with leaving it on the shelf in a white color for a few more years. |

White motif xf is a limited edition, which means quantity is limited. I think they did this to test the water.

New workstation been in the works, but it’s when it’s ready to hit the streets is the million dollar question. The reason they issued the white version of the Motif is because they’re not ready to drop a successor yet. Probably Namm 2017 This Namm will be the biggest synth manfacture display ever they said. With many new companies like Oberheim, etc to claim Namm booth display space. |

How do I know if Yamaha is working on a successor, and why they dropped the white version and availability date? Common sense. Ok, ok, I give in. You’ll see, something new from Yamaha this Namm. It’s gonna be something, as Yamaha expanded their Namm booth space. Could be a new synth, Analog, Digital, they could build a bigger brother to the Motif series. But it won’t be a Motif XF replacement, more like an addition. But Yamaha have something up their sleeve with something new. |

What makes you think the Motif sales fell off? How do you know Kronos is selling a lot? You don’t have official numbers. |

See http://www.motifator.com/index.php/forum/index.php/viewthread/474109/ I never said that you said that.
Â
Also, I never commented on the number of sales, I just pointed out that on the day you said “Who wants to buy a white XF today at this price?”, two members posted about having just made such a purchase. |

Before anyone gets upset about your last sentence, I assume you’re referring to competitive models having touch screens. (Please correct me if you meant something else.) My vision is currently quite adequate, but I still hope that Yamaha does not go to touch screens in the next generation synths. I personally prefer pushbuttons. |
