Hi,
I am learning the sequencer on Motif XF.
We made a MIDI song file in logic pro 9 (4 tracks) The file is exported as a midi file, then loaded onto the Motif sequencer, but all 4 tracks load onto channel 1 on the Motif sequencer.

They all play with the piano sound.

Not sure why? I have imported other midi song files from the internet, they load multi tracks fine.

I know there is format 0 and format 1, tried both, but no luck.

I suspect it is a Logic Pro settings thing, but thought a standard file would work.

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

First, you mention your “Motif XF” but are on the MOX Forum page.  You may want to post on the XF page for more/better responses.

GM files must be properly set up to achieve the expected and desired results.  It appears that the file you have created in Logic is not calling up the proper VOICES from the Motif BANKS.  You must have a message at the beginning of your MIDI file that tells the XF what VOICES to use, cc messages, etc.

You may find This Article helpful.
