I just got my MOXF8 and downloaded a few libraries from Yamaha website. My question - how can I listen to a library file with extension .x3a on my PC to decide what I want to load into MOX. Are there free programs that allow me to listen to the voices and sounds in the library file ?

You can’t listen to the sounds on a PC.

If you have a MOXF8, it will be able to load the .X3A file (Motif XF format) direct into the keyboard.
If you want to audition individual voices, you could use the Melas software, however you still need the MOXF8 connected to the PC.
