Hi My Motif xs6 does not go into Performance mode. Master mode and voice mode work fine.  It started doing this from time to time but now i can’t get it to go in at all Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated since i gig with this keyboard weekly

There are a few possible causes. It might be that the [PERFORM] tact switch itself is bad (not uncommon), or that the switch scanning circuit is malfunctioning (uncommon).

If you have a means of sending a MIDI SysEx message to your XS, you may be able to externally get it to go into Performance mode. This is the required message:
F0 43 10 7F 03 0A 00 01 01 F7

The message may be sent when the XS is in Voice or Master modes, and Song or Pattern modes as long as a sequence isn’t running.
