Well, I do not work with Yamaha Corporation
and don’t know if it would be possible
to get it complimentary (free)
but the availability of
purchasing it
as a download should turn up in a search of the web.

However, if it were me, and in your situation,
it may be worth a phone call or letter to inquire about it.
I’m assuming you ‘registered’ your new purchase in April (2013?)
when you got the 10th Anniversary Package,
so have that information ready with serial number of your qualifying keyboard and see what happens.
There’s contact for them at the bottom of
THIS PAGE AGAIN.
I first would call, then send the email including everything you would in an official letter, then maybe the letter.... maybe not.
Again, this is a “IF IT WERE ME” answer :)

There is possibly someone else on this forum
that might have another idea as well....

I would say the 40th Anniversary promotion is fantastic.

What I would not say is good is Yamaha’s response when I told them I spent (as all of you know) a lot of money on a black Motif XF8 AND every single expansion I can put into the box (cards, pedals, etc.) but I am not eligible for the promotion EVEN THOUGH I spent all of this money less than a month before this promotion was advertised.

I received almost half of the promotion when I purchased my Motif XF8 and asked if I could receive the other half since I purchased it so close to this new promotion.  Yamaha’s answer was basically (now that they have their money) was go to h e double toothpicks (you know what I mean).

I have been buying Yamaha synthesizers and gear since 1976. I guess missing the purchase that gives this promotion (which was never disclosed at the time when I spent thousands on my black Motif XF8) by less than a month before the NEW promotion puts me in the dog house.

Lastly, being a long time Yamaha purchaser (see above, 1976) the representative I called on the phone was rude to me and hung up on me. Really makes me all warm and fuzzy that I spend thousands upon thousands on this company and have been devoted to them for 38 years. Am I happy?  NO!!!!  They didn’t even offer me the 40th Anniversary sticker. Sorry, being sarcastic there.

Hmm, very sorry to hear this. We are an independent site, as hopefully you know, and are not part of Yamaha’s ‘official’ support program, rude or otherwise. (Someone would have to get pretty darned abusive for us to actually hang up on anyone and you don’t sound like that type of person. Just saying...)

Not entirely sure how Yamaha is applying a cutoff point to its promotions but I’d have thought some discretion would normally be permitted. If you don’t already have the XF Fully Loaded video we’d be glad to offer you a free download of that as at least some compensation.  Please get in touch with is this can help and is appropriate.
