Well,

Does it fit?  Is it tight like the old MOX8 bag?
Is it loose or what is your opinion?

Take a picture with the board in the bag with the zipper open and one with it closed and let us see.

Thanks,

Bill

Anybody purchase these road cases from Road Cases USA in Long Island, NY?

The case is VERY tight.  I had to stretch it a bit on the ends to get the board in there.

I’ll take a pic and post it soon.

Which apparently verifies what I posted earlier in this thread - it’s not a matter of MOX8 versus MOXF8, those bags are just a tight fit.

btw, the moxf88 will also fit in the oversize Gator 76 note roadcase :-) just needs a small trim of about 1 cm from the end foam (internally).

have you tried the non-deep version or this 76 key gator case here?

I’m using the Gator GKPE-76-TSA.  This is not the deep version.

I removed the rubber feet from the moxf,
trimmed about a half inch of foam from one end of the case,
and removed a small amount of foam from the top, where the knobs and p/m wheels sit.

I’m not sure how much the foam was contacting the knobs, but didn’t want to take a chance of putting any pressure on the circuit board that they are attached to.

It now fits like a custom made case for the moxf.

Does anyone know if a Yamaha Motif XF7 will fit in the MOXF8 bag?
What I like about the MOXF8 bag is the weight....only 6 lb and has wheels.
Hard to find something like that for the XF7.
I’m sick of lugging my XF7 around in a 26lb SKB hard case.

From their respective Owner’s Manuals…

MOXF8
Dimensions: 1320(W) x 405(D) x 168(H) mm
Weight: 14.9 kg

Motif XF7
Dimensions: 1252(W) x 391(D) x 122(H) mm
Weight: 17.2 kg

So the XF7 is smaller than the MOXF8, and would probably need a little additional padding. The XF7 weighs somewhat more, which might be a consideration.
